We currently have a great opportunity for a Head of Marketing for our Los Angeles office. Under the supervision of the Executive Director and the Executive Committee members responsible for marketing, the Head of Marketing will plan, develop, implement, and oversee all marketing strategies and activities for the law firm, including internal and external marketing communications, website development and maintenance, targeted business development, public relations, and networking/client events.

What You'll Do
Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop, implement, and manage the law firm s marketing plan consistent with the firm s overall strategic plan. Lead the law firm s strategic planning for current and future marketing initiatives and events. Create integrated marketing calendar to manage and coordinate the law firm s marketing initiatives.

External Communications: Manage all external marketing communications, including law firm press releases, announcements, newsletters, social media posts, advertisements, and website content. Assist with the creation of Requests for Proposals and other submissions for legal work. Identify awards and recognition opportunities for firm and attorneys. Assist as needed with attorney speaking engagements. Understand and adhere to attorney ethical rules on advertising and marketing.

Client Relations and Business Development: Support and facilitate development, implementation, and tracking of marketing plans for the law firm s practice groups and individual attorneys. Lead event planning for client receptions and special events. Coordinate with IT Department for distribution, compilation, and management of mailing lists and other marketing contact information in database. Implement CRM for use in marketing activities.

Sponsorships and Charitable Giving: Create and monitor the law firm s marketing budget. Manage requests for sponsorships and ensure each request aligns with the law firm s marketing plan. Coordinate attendance and advertisements for approved sponsorships with the charitable organization. Perform post-event review for attendance and marketing value.

Internal Communications: Schedule, facilitate, and develop agendas and minutes for the law firm s marketing committee. Prepare monthly marketing report for distribution to the law firm s Executive Committee and partners. Edit the law firm s internal newsletter. Work with IT Department to create content for intranet. Order and maintain inventory of firm logo items. Help facilitate internal firm social functions.

Requirements
Bachelor s degree or higher in marketing, business administration, journalism, communications, or another marketing-related field.
7+ years of experience in business development and/or marketing, preferably with a law firm or another professional service organization.
Ability to act as a leader and take initiative with respect to all firm marketing activities.
Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on strategic planning, goal setting, and prioritization, as well as the ability to initiate and monitor simultaneous projects.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in the Microsoft suite as well as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or a similar content design program.
