The School of Education is nationally accredited and all credential programs are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).

Responsibilities of Brandman University full-time faculty include teaching, mentoring and service. Research activities are supported, but not required. All faculty positions are non-tenure track, primarily hired at the rank of Assistant Professor, however, higher rank may be considered if appropriate. Brandman offers competitive salaries with generous benefits.

The faculty member will be responsible for oversight/instruction of courses within the Multiple Subject Credential and Master of Arts in Teaching programs. The faculty member will supervise and support adjunct faculty within the credential and masters programs across multiple campuses.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Doctorate in education or related discipline
  • Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
  • English Learner Authorization or CLAD/BCLAD certification
  • At least 5 years of recent experience as a multiple subject teacher in diverse public school settings
  • Expertise in K-8 instruction and working with English learners
  • Strong online and blended learning teaching skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to collaborate with others
  • Experience with virtual learning and academic technology
  • Experience with integrating technology in teaching and learning
  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Working knowledge of the California Teacher Expectations
  • Ability to support students taking the Multiple Subject California Teacher Performance Assessment
  • Experience with WASC, CCTC, and/or national accreditation desired
