In keeping with the Marian Medical Regional Center health care philosophy, the Medical Laboratory Technician performs clinical laboratory procedures in assigned sections to detect, identify, measure and report data used in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of disease. The MLT uses technical skills, instrumentation, information systems and other resources to perform waived and moderate procedures as classified under CLIA in order to provide clinical laboratory support to all user groups in the hospital and medical community. Performs duties under the supervision of the Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS). Rotates shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, following written notice.



  • Must have completed a two year degree program from an accredited college or university.

  • MLT


  • One year laboratory experience in an acute care facility.
