Job DetailsLevelExperiencedJob LocationStatewide -Nipomo - Nipomo, CAPosition TypeFull TimeDescriptionJob Summary: Assist Operations handles inbound/outbound calls; coordinate repairs, maintenance, etc.; and follow-up with customers after work is complete to ensure job satisfaction. Able to assist with driving/delivery duties and warehouse/yard work.Essential Job FunctionsOrganize, create, and update union employee safety files Organize, create, and update fleet binders and filesCoordinate fleet repairs, maintenance, registrations, and smogsUpdate safety spreadsheet(s) and keep track of certification expiration datesAdd all completed safety documents to share drive each monthAssist with weekly payroll inspection and approvalSupport Customer Service Associate/front counter and answer phones as neededManage customer calls regarding current jobs/projects as needed or when PM is out in the fieldAssist in preparing work orders and dispatch schedulesAssist techs with FAQs and minor issues/concerns, including but not limited to: W-4s, direct deposits, update personnel files, form union employees when Local Union dues are dueOrganize new hire paperwork Non-essential Job FunctionsAssist with branch inventory organization, tracking, and record keeping.Assist with sales related tasks as needed. Assist with billing related tasks as needed.QualificationsSkills/AbilitiesActive Listening Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Judgment and Decision Making Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Reading Comprehension Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.Speaking Talking to others to convey information effectively.Time Management Managing one's own time and the time of others.Critical Thinking Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems with the business profitability in mind.Monitoring/Instructing performance of you, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Teaching others how to do something. Management of Personnel Resources Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.Experience/EducationOffice administrative background of at least 3-5 years.Knowledge of traffic control and safety devises.Supervisor Traffic Control Training Certification.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local and state requirements.Valid state driver license and clean driving recordWORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
