We are an engineering-based company, with expertise in all aspects of power supply design, manufacturing and test.Scope Design, layout and packaging of power supplies for operation in military, commercial and industrial environments according to customer specifications and documentation requirements.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and development of packaging to withstand shock, vibration, temperature and humidity. Perform thermal, structural and vibration analysisProvide complete mechanical design for manufacturing.Design tooling and fixturing to support assembly operations.Provides existing product line support in design and packaging activities including the modification of hardware in productionParticipates in generating product concepts.Occasional travel to customer facilities.Ability to work flexible hours and/or different shifts, if needed. Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal Regulations.As the Company s success relies on the productivity of our team and adherence to customer product schedules, an essential function of this position is the ability to arrive to work on-time, and work each day, as scheduled. Therefore, employment is contingent on compliance with ITAR regulations and successfully obtaining and maintaining the necessary export authorization license from the U.S. Department of Commerce s Bureau of Industry and Security, U.S. Department of State s Office of Defense Trade Controls, or other applicable government agency.Education And ExperienceBS Mechanical Engineering1-5 years applicable engineering experienceCAD experience with PWB assemblies; SolidWorks is preferredThermal, structural and vibration analysis using FEA techniques desirableExperience with conduction and convection cooled systemsKnowledge of circuit board construction, fabrication and surface mount technologyKnowledge of chemical interactions between adhesives, various materials, and solventsAbility to successfully execute duties under pressure from deadlinesAttention to detail reviewing and creating documentationExcellent communication and organizational skills Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
