Description: AOD Counselor to provide drug and alcohol counseling to clients in non-residential mental health or substance abuse programs. Our counselors interact on a day-to-day basis providing individual and group counseling, as well as engaging in case management services. Counselors provide substance recovery skills and information, and leadership necessary to provide clients with the ability to recover from substance abuse addiction.Essential duties include:* Maintaining caseload as prescribed by the Lead Counselor/Program Manager. Provide a variety of interventions including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, collateral services, and other sobriety related services to our clients.* Documents client interactions and client progress along with all other required documentation completed on time.* Initiates appropriate and timely interventions making sure clients are advised of inappropriate behavior.* Integrates the clinical concept with sound theoretical and practical applications of rehabilitative and individual group and milieu counseling principles.* Performs drug testing urinalysis specimen collections, screening and documentation as required.Lags Recovery Centers provide services to individuals to help them become more self-sufficient and responsible. We serve various populations, including court referred individuals, probation and/or parole referrals, self-referrals and other community referrals. Requirements: We require our counselors to have the following:* Associate degree or Certificate in Addiction studies or related field with two or more years in an AOD or working with drug and alcohol related issues/addictions/co-occurring disorders.* Certified Counselor required* Strong interpersonal and engagement skills* Strong organizational and time-management skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPI127637863
