ENSCO is seeking highly motivated, talented individuals to become a part of a diverse engineering and technology team in support of the Space & Missile Systems Center (SMC) Enterprise Launch Office (SMC/ECL). The position Project Integration Manager requires space vehicle and mission integration experience in Air Force National Security Space Launch systems. Candidate will provide systems engineering and integration expertise in support of the Space and Missile Systems Center’s (SMC) Enterprise Launch program. Candidate will provide systems engineering and integration support for various Air Force projects within SMC/ECL, interacting between user space systems and ECL launch vehicles. Candidate should have experience with system acquisition, systems engineering lifecycle, system integration planning, risk management, architecture, operations concepts, requirements and interface development and maturation for space and ground systems. Position is located at Vandenberg AFBMajor duties of the position include:

• Providing architecture, operations concept, requirements, and interface control documentation support for integration of space vehicle, launch vehicles and ground support systems under development.

• Leading interface trade studies in collaboration with development, operations, and sustainment stakeholders to evaluate and optimize interfaces in support of operational requirements.

• Evaluating contractor architectures, operations concepts, specifications and interface products for completeness and suitability.

• Managing interdependencies and identifying disconnects between current and future architectures, requirements, and interfaces, and resolving system issues.

• Supporting the customer in defining, capturing, and maintaining the technical, schedule, and cost risks throughout the system lifecycle and developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing impacts of risks and proposed changes.

• Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, members of the U.S. Air Force, and external mission stakeholders

• Managing other engineers engaged in project integration activities to ensure coordinated and cohesive integration support within SMC/ECL.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Science or Engineering with 5 years of demonstrated experience.

• At least 5 years of experience working with space vehicle systems and payload integration requirements.

• Extremely motivated individual who is a self-starter and a team player, comfortable with matrixed organizations and leading through influence across multiple organizations

• Experience working across space and ground segment organizations to coordinate and identify system integration requirements to ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met.

• Demonstrated experience working with Air Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with space and/or space and ground systems.

• Experience providing technical analyses, architecture trade-studies, and program management support to a government customer.

• Proactive engineer who takes the initiative to identify and solve customer challenges

• Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings.

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams.

• AN ACTIVE DOD TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.

Qualifications Desired

• Master’s Degree in Math, Science or Engineering

• New Entrant Launch Vehicle experience is highly desirable

• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
