Volt is immediately hiring a Payroll Specialist for a local Agriculture Co. in Santa Maria, CA. If you are looking to join a team that offers great benefits & the opportunity for advancement, then apply immediately!This is a Monday - Friday 8am - 5pmSalary starting at $25/hr+ DOECore Responsibilities:Records numerical and financial data to produce financial records.Ensure financial data is entered correctly and accuratelyReconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records.Enters vendor information into accounting software system; verifies that invoice information is entered correctly.Issues payments to vendors as approved.Processes routing monthly payments as approved and transfer funds as needed.Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.Reviews accounts payable invoices, assigns vendor numbers and similar identifying data, enters vendor information and confirms correct accounting codes were used.Processes routine weekly payments to vendors as approved, includes verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.Answers vendor questions by researching accounts.Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions. --- Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash. Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers. Create and maintain Commodity Years recordsMaintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.Various administrative task Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer
