JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Room Chef will manage the operations of the kitchen to support daily outlet operations in the absence of and in assistance with the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and other Room Chefs. The Room Chef will oversee the preparation of food and inventory levels of the kitchen. The position will be responsible for training Team Members and ensuring that exceptional guest service is provided.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
    Additional Requirements:
    • Culinary Arts Degree preferred.
    • Three years experience as a high-volume Sous Chef, Room Chef, or Banquet Chef.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in order to provide clear direction to the pastry team.
    • Able to execute and train all baking and pastry disciplines to the highest levels
    • Able to execute and train all baking and pastry disciplines to the highest levels
    • Proficient with the use of kitchen tools and equipment, baking skills and measurements.
    • Must be able to organize, plan, estimate, and use basic math skills to plan production.
    • Must be able to properly handle and store all pastry smallware tools and knives.
    • Able to follow and/or convert recipes.
    • Must be able to plan and supervise the daily operations of the kitchen.
    • Must be able to produce quality products on a consistent basis.
    • Basic computer proficiency.
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
    • Must be flexible and be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
    • Must obtain food handler card within 30 days of employment.
    • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
