Responsibilities
About This Position :
Evaluates patients; participates in the treatment program planning; administers physical therapy modalities, procedures and tests; documents accurate patient records and progress notes; maintains appropriate oral or written contact with the referring physician, co workers, and the public. Ensures a clean and safe work environment by being alert for unsafe conditions and malfunctioning equipment and using appropriate procedures for their correction; supervises aides and assistants in their participation in the overall treatment program. Assists Physical Therapist Supervisor with Q.I. as required. Performs other related duties such as: Participates in all departmental functions and activities as required, including inservice education, clerical and other tasks relevant to effective department function as necessary.

Selection Criteria:
Previous experience as physical therapist preferred but not required. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy in order to qualify for licensure. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, accurately, and possess good interpersonal skills. Demonstrates basic knowledge of the principles, techniques and procedures within the scope of their practice as a Physical Therapist. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. Demonstrates ability to function in a team environment, collaborating with other patient care team members, physicians, patient, and their families. Ability to teach techniques and procedures of physical therapy to patients and their caregivers. Able to work with minimal supervision. Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of California. Certified in CPR.

Qualifications
