Physical Therapist Location: Bakersfield, CA Agency: Jackson Therapy Partners Pay: $2,416 to $2,616 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist team in Bakersfield, CA at an acute care hospital where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new location. Minimum Requirements Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required if license issued on or after January 2016; foreign equivalent accepted when applicable. Active Physical Therapy license in California required to start the assignment. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required. AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS accepted and required by facility policy. Acute care inpatient hospital experience required. Experience providing video swallow studies and working with equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes preferred. Two years’ physical therapy experience preferred. Ability to work Monday through Friday schedule and participate in a rotation that includes at least one weekend shift per month as required by the department. Call requirement for notification to rehabilitation office when unable to work as needed. Floating to other hospital sites is required when needed. Floating is optional but encouraged when covering additional sites. Documentation experience with Cerner preferred. Assignment Details Facility Type: Hospital (acute care inpatient). Shift Name: Days. Schedule Requirements: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8x5 schedule. Each staff required to work at least one weekend shift per month on rotation. Call Requirement: Staff must call the rehab office to report absences. Floating: Floating to other sites as needed is required; floating is encouraged for additional coverage. Special Procedures: Video swallow exams performed daily during scheduled exam times. Documentation System: Cerner. Scrub Color: Black.
