Job Description:
Encompass Health is looking for an experienced and compassionate
Speech Pathologist to join our team of healthcare professionals
focused on patient rehabilitation services. As a vital member of
our multidisciplinary team, you will work to diagnose and treat a
range of communication and swallowing disorders, resulting from
injuries, strokes, or other health conditions. Our facility is
committed to helping patients regain their independence and improve
their quality of life through targeted therapy and personalized
care. Evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication,
and swallowing abilities to diagnose and plan treatment. Develop
and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on
functional outcomes and patient independence. Monitor patient
progress and adjust treatments as necessary. Educate families and
caregivers on treatment plans and communication strategies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians,
occupational therapists, and nurses to provide comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient evaluations,
treatments, and outcomes. Expertise in various speech and language
disorders Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to
work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Proficient in
using clinical software and record keeping Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license in
Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in
Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
