Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to
join our dynamic team, providing unparalleled rehabilitative care
to patients recovering from strokes, injuries, and other
significant health events. This position involves working closely
with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement
individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing communicative and
swallowing efficacy, thus empowering patients towards achieving
greater independence. Conduct patient evaluations to assess speech,
language, and swallowing difficulties and diagnose disorders.
Design and administer appropriate therapies to address
patient-specific needs and goals. Monitor patient progress and
adjust treatments accordingly. Educate patients and families on
communication strategies and swallowing techniques. Collaborate
with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care.
Participate in professional development and stay updated with
advancements in the field. Strong understanding of speech-language
pathology principles and practices. Excellent patient assessment
and therapy planning skills. Ability to work collaboratively within
an interdisciplinary team. Strong communication and interpersonal
skills. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current
state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of
Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
