  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
  • The right candidate will hold an active BLS, ACLS, AWOHNN, NRP and CA License.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 full years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
    • Active BLS, ACLS, AWOHNN, NRP and CA License required.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts - 7a-7p or 7p-7a
      • Every other weekend requirement.
      • Charge Nurse - they try not to take a patient assignment.
      • Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Ratios: 2 to 1 laboring, follow AWOHNN guidelines, 1 to 4 couplet care
        • FHM System: Fetal Link
        • EMR: Cerner
        • Scrub Color: Nurses - navy for PP, ob tech and L&D nurses - seal blue (provided)
        • Tele: Phillips
        • Vents: No
        • OB/Neonatologist in house: No but available if needed
        • IV Team: No
        • RT 24/7: Yes
          • Additional Details
          • COVID Vaccine Required
          • C-section experience required: Will be required to circulate for c-sections. Scrubbing experience is preferred.
          • Floating: They will have to float to postpartum, PP will NOT have to float to L&D
          • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: any gestational age, antepartum, high risk deliveries, substance abuse, pre-eclampsia, insulin dependent diabetics
