POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients in the acute care setting. Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice, and promoting cooperation among the health care team. Assist the department director in meeting the department goals. In conjunction with the Director, the Nursing Coordinator / Perinatal Educator shall meet personal accountabilities and standards of Service, People, Quality, Growth and Cost. The Nursing Coordinator / Perinatal Educator oversees the training of perinatal staff to ensure the department meets all Tenet Standards. Assumes the role of Director when Director is absent from facility when directed to do so and will have supervisory responsibilities related to staff selection, terminations, performance evaluations, quality improvement and progressive discipline.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

(1) Graduate school of nursing. (2) Basic computer skills. (3) Advanced Fetal Monitoring, Two-years recent acute care RN experience in Perinatal Services

Preferred:

(1) . Spanish Speaking, BSN or MSN

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • Current California RN license, (2) AHA BLS-HCP. (3) ACLS with 6 months of new hire of transfer, (4) NRP

    SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES :

    Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

    PHYSICAL JOB CLASSIFICATION :

    Heavy Work- see attached detailed physical requirements.

    ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

    May be exposed to: Dust, Fumes (Human Waste), Human Body Fluids, Heat, Cold, Noise, Vibrations, Toxic Chemicals (Chemotherapy agents). Majority of the work is performed indoors protected from the elements.

    PATIENTS SERVED:

    This position is responsible for age-related physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the following age groups of patients: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Includes, but not limited to: Patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, physiological changes, psychosocial needs.

    Pay Range: $51.18 - $81.91

    Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience
