Responsibilities
In keeping with the Dignity Health's health care philosophy, the
Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) functions collaboratively and uses
independent judgment to provide high quality care by assuring
appropriate staffing on a shift basis or more as indicated by
patient acuity and census. The ANM is accountable for unit
operations, supervision, staff development, patient care delivery
and clinical outcomes on assigned shifts. The ANM is responsible
for providing clinical nursing leadership to unit staff and may
provide direct patient care. The ideal candidate will have OR
circulating experience.
Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift.
Assigns patients to available nursing staff taking into
consideration the patients condition and the employees skill
level.
Assesses monitors and educates the nursing staff on patient care.
Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to
them.
Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to
ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered Nurse with five (5) years of work experience.
One (1) year of specialty nursing or critical care experience.
One (1) year of perioperative nursing experience.
Current California Registered Nurse license.
Current approved health care provider CPR certification.
Current ACLS certification or within 6 months of assuming
position.
Current PALS certification or within 6 months of assuming
position.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of surgery center experience preferred.
One year of management experience preferred.
BSN preferred.
Current CNOR preferred.
OR Circulating experience.
