Responsibilities The Staff LVN is an experienced practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing, patient care, and the ability to practice independently within the confines of educational preparation, physician orders, and as assigned and supervised by a registered nurse. this position works in the field making home visits to hospice patients in their homes, in skilled nursing facilities and / or in assisted living facilities Qualifications - At least two years of acute hospital experience, or Skilled Nursing experience. - Hospice or home health experience preferred SNF experience preferred Experience with patients at end of life. - CT CPRBLS;DRV LIC;CAR INS;LVN - Demonstrates ability to work in the home setting, in SNF or ALF setting. Works with a interdisciplinary team, under the direction of a RN. Demonstrates proficient intermediate nursing skills. Demonstrates a caring, compassionate attitude toward others. Ability and willingness to actively participate in agency task forces and committees. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. Demonstrates clear, effective written and oral English skills, and objective, active listening skills. Demonstrates ability to work on the computer, as documentation is computer based. Reacts calmly and efficiently in emergencies. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others across all agency departments.
