Job Summary: Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Collections/Billing Specialist, for its Santa Maria facility.-- This is a great career within a well-established company and if you are a positive, professional individual and possess the desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the right opportunity for you.Job Summary: Under the direction of the Controller and in cooperation with all divisions of the company, the Accounts Receivable/Collections/Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the companys accounts receivables / collections function. Responsibilities: Proficiency in computerized accounting software programs; Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products, particularly Word and Excel; Collect mail from post office daily; Prepare and conduct daily banking requirements; Mail or fax customer copies of invoices in response to customer needs; Prepare monthly invoices and mail to customers; Reviewing companys accounts receivables and correct any posting errors; Make collection calls to customers with accounts in arrears; Prepare small claims paperwork for customer accounts that are in arrears, as necessary; Review cash receipts, coding, posting of receipts and apply non-allocated cash appropriately; Oversee client accounts, write-offs, rejects and payments; Proficiency in the operation of standard office equipment to include PCs, photocopiers, fax machines and 10-key calculator; Organize and maintain retention files for required period time; Any other duties as assigned by the Controller. Qualifications: High School Diploma (or equivalent); At least 3 years of hands-on related accounting experience; Solid mathematical acumen; Accuracy in sorting, checking, counting and verifying numbers and sequences of numbers; Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work efficiently, with astute attention to detail; Proficient verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work independently, self-starter and energetic; Ability to work with minimum supervision, after training period; Ability to meet strict deadlines and be a strong team player;
Spanish / English bilingual, a plus. Working Hours: 8:00AM 5:00PM Monday through Friday, with 1 hour for lunch. Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour DOE, non-exempt status, plus benefits.
